We are committed to promoting educational excellence. Our institute offers a range of professional development workshops designed to empower educators and create inclusive learning environments. We understand that each teaching and learning context is unique, and our workshops are tailored to meet your specific needs.

Our Workshops

Our special topics workshops focus on addressing the critical needs of educators in tribal colleges, particularly those serving Indigenous communities. Our goal is to promote best practices that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom. We offer workshops on:

  • decolonizing classroom practices,

  • indigenizing curriculum,

  • data management and computational literacy for Indigenous communities,

  • developing meaningful cultural contextualization in college curriculum,

  • assessment and grading for equity in tribal colleges, and

  • engaging hybrid/hyflex teaching models in STEM courses for non-traditional adult learners.

Our team of experienced educators and subject matter experts brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to our workshops. We use evidence-based approaches that prioritize student-centered learning, cultural relevance, and collaboration. Our workshops are designed to be interactive, engaging, and hands-on, allowing participants to apply what they learn in real-life situations.

“Our Institute of Teaching and Learning is committed to ensuring that educators have the resources they need to support student success. We believe that by empowering educators, we can make a positive impact on the lives of students and the communities they serve.”
